Shining Star

You know time goes by quickly when a high school friend asks you to create a painting for her 1-year-old daughter. You never realize how far your peers have gotten in life until you’ve received news on them either, moving to other states, having children, getting a promotion at their job, signing a lease to their first car, and here I am… wondering why I still haven’t checked my bank account after purchasing an expensive dress that I can’t return from Topshop!! *loud cry*… Anyway! I was happy to do this painting for her daughter’s first birthday, especially after hearing the story behind her beautiful miracle baby.

‘Twinkle, Twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.”

My next piece represented the love of miracles and the hope for a new beginning.

A mother’s love is a reflection of God’s love; it’s patience, forgiving, and forever unconditional. This beautiful baby is her miracle baby and her shining star, the one who will always remain strong, courageous, and fearless.
